It is that time of year when the leaves have changed colors and have begun to fall from the trees. It is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful times of the year. I always loved the refreshingly cool air of fall, especially after enduring the heat and humidity of a long summer. But some of my best memories of this season come from remembering Halloween, going Trick-or-Treating and carving Jack-o-Lanterns. I still think of those times as a child when I visited neighbors and got a sack full of candy or caramel popcorn. Perhaps, because I enjoyed Halloween so much, my family and I continue to celebrate it here in Japan. My children and I carve pumpkins, decorate the house, and have even gone Trick-or-Treating. I hope that in this way I can share my enjoyment of this season with my children so that they will come to have happy memories of this season as well.
